Who we are and why we set up My Diabetic Pet

Our site is dedicated to helping other diabetic dog parents with all the things we’ve learned on our journey with Parker, our 14-year old diabetic border terrier.

When Parker was diagnosed with diabetes, our lives changed overnight. We suddenly had to learn about insulin, glucose checks, feeding routines, and those anxious late-night readings. It was overwhelming at first, but over time we found our rhythm. And a lot of practical lessons worth sharing.

We created My Diabetic Pet to pass along that knowledge to others who are navigating the same path. From daily routines and diet tips to managing highs and lows, our goal is to make life with a diabetic dog a little clearer, calmer, and less lonely.

We’re not veterinarians, just devoted pet parents who’ve lived through it all, and want to help others and their dogs live long, happy lives together.
